'The 100' Season 3 Finale: The Flame Receives A Shocking New Host, Eliza Taylor Dishes On Lexa Twist [VIDEO]
Mount Weather, ALIE, and the Flame will all tie together in The 100 season 3 finale.
It's a battle of the AIs on The CW's post-apocalyptic drama, and Clarke (Eliza Taylor) is currently on the loosing side. Everyone from Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) to Emori (Louisa D'Oliveria) are under ALIE's (Erica Cerra) spell, filling the City of Light to the brim. As "Perverse Instantiation: Part 2" begins, our heroes will be on a seemingly futile quest to find a host of the Flame, their last remaining hope .
Unfortunately, nightbloods are a rare breed indeed. Thanks to Ontari (Rhiannon Fish), there are only two adult (teenage?) hosts left. Luna (Nadia HIlker) was a nonstarter, Ontari is brain dead, and the Arkers will have to look inside their own ranks for an answer.
With a little help from Mount Weather's blood transfusion system, Clarke believes she can take the Flame (see video below).
Not only will Clarke take on the Flame, but she will also take the Chip. Hmm...I think we've finally solved the mystery of ho Lexa will appear in the City of Light. After all, she's not connected to ALIE.
As far as Clarke is concerned, her urge to save humanity will quickly become muddled with her desire to see Lexa one last time. The Clexa romance was cut short during "Thirteen," and neither Clarke nor the fandom took the Heda's demise in stride (nor should they!).
"I do wonder if she's treading a line," Taylor told TV Line. "She wants to get this A.I. into a human so that Lexa can sort of appear and be her again. So is this just Clarke wanting to get her love back, or is she really trying to save the world? I like that people don't quite know, and I don't either. As an actor, it's a very interesting role to be playing."
Clarke's true intentions aren't the only aspect of the finale the actress is hazy on. The 100 cast shot two different endings for "Perverse Instantiation: Part 2," and even No. 1 on the call sheet isn't privileged enough to know which clip series creator Jason Rothenberg selected.
"Either way, people are going to be like 'Oh my god, now I have to wait another year! F**k!'" Taylor teased, according to IGN. "I'll be very interested to see which one they went with. Either way, it's going to be an 'Oh, God' moment."
