She helped him protect his identity from a passenger on their shared flight to London, but now that they've landed, Ava (Maura West) will demand to know why Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) is on the run on General Hospital.

She was stunned when he turned up next to her on her flight, and after snapping a photo and then teasing him with her own experiences trying to assume a false identity, she helped corroborate a story about him being a famous actor trying to go incognito when a passenger called Huxley (Trent Dawson) asked questions. However, even though she has no plans on aiding Nikolas in his endeavors, she will want to know why he was fleeing Port Charles, and will demand he give her an answer before she leaves him alone.

"Why are you a dead man walking?" She asks in a preview clip for the Thursday, June 16 episode.

She's referring to the fact that he is very obviously alive, while back in Port Charles, he is presumed dead after he seemed to have been pushed out of a window of his castle on Spoon Island, and then his body allegedly disappeared into the water. Because he was the first one on the scene after the incident happened, Jason (Billy Miller) is the prime suspect in the case. And though she has no intention of helping Jason or even getting involved in the case, Ava will be curious as to why Nikolas is voluntarily leaving town and his son, Spencer (Nicholas Bechtel).

However, Nikolas likely won't take the bait, since he doesn't want any chance of his real scheme being exposed, even if he learns Jason is the one suspected of the crime, when he may have actually been trying to set up Hayden (Rebecca Budig). Though it would be the wrong person potentially going down for the crime, he may also be delighted to learn it is Jason who is suffering, since he too was Nikolas' enemy.

But as much as he thinks he's covered his tracks, he could quickly learn that his jig is up, since Jason and Sam (Kelly Monaco) are convinced he faked the whole thing and are slowly closing in on the truth.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
