'Young and the Restless' (Y&R) Spoilers: Jack Confronts Phyllis About Her Lies [VIDEO]
He never suspected there was something to really worry about when it came to his marriage to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), even if they were currently separated, but after making a shocking discovery about her supposed trip to Canada, Jack (Peter Bergmann), will find himself actively questioning his wife on The Young and the Restless.
Jack received the expense account for Jabot's private jet, and was stunned when Phyllis's trip to Montreal wasn't on it. Assuming it was a mistake, he was further shocked to learn that it wasn't, and she had never used the company jet to take her trip, for company business.
Now, he will confront her about where she really was, and she will be hurt that he doesn't trust her.
"Nothing happened," she says in a preview clip for the Thursday, July 21 episode.
"Then why did the pilot tell me you never stepped on the plane?" Jack asks.
Phyllis will cover by claiming she opted out of using the jet to save money, and flew commercially for her trip instead, and will feign outrage over Jack seeming to believe the worst in her, leading to a major fight between the two.
What Jack doesn't realize however, if how close to the truth he had gotten by learning this information. Phyllis never used the company jet because she never actually took a trip to Canada at all, and was instead still in Genoa City, because she has been having an affair with his brother, Billy (Jason Thompson).
Phyllis and Billy used those two days she was supposedly in Canada together to see if what they had was actually real, and even though since then she has been torn between her feelings for him and her loyalties to Jack, which was what led her to leave Jack and take up residence in the Athletic Club in the meantime, they did realize that they weren't just giving in to passion and desire, but actual love.
Now, with Jack almost getting close to the truth, Phyllis could become even more withdrawn into her thoughts, and may start to push both men away even more.
The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
