They had a contentious start to a romance because she was playing him to get revenge for what he did to Maggie (Syuzanne Rogers), but after their recent ordeal thanks to Kate (Lauren Koslow), Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) could wind up growing closer again on Days of Our Lives.

He genuinely fell for Nicole, who reminded him of the woman he lost long ago, Helena, but her scheme did come between them. However, the situation spiraled to a level they never expected it to beyond their control, when Kate became jealous that Deimos wanted to marry Nicole, even after proposing to her. She smacked him and he fell into the river, and she blamed the entire situation on Nicole.

Deimos wound up still being alive, and he was nursed back to health by Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), and she let Nicole know he was alive, She convinced him to come back to Salem to clear her of murder charges, and he did. However, he also kept Kate from suffering for the crime, as well as the fact that she forged a marriage certificate claiming she was Diemos's wife, by telling the police that they had married and were getting it annulled, and blaming his fall into the river on his own clumsiness while drunk.

Now though, he wants to start over in Salem, and he has his eyes on one woman in particular when it comes to that fresh start. He will order Kate out of the Kiriakis Mansion, which he took over, and send her packing to the Salem Inn. He will then go to Nicole to see if there is any way they can start over, this time with no cons planned that could come between them.

And though Nicole has continually denied to others that she did have genuine feelings for Deimos, she has begun falling for him as well, so she may shockingly be amenable to a relationship with him, even if it upsets Maggie or anyone else who hoped that when she moved on from losing Daniel, it would be with someone he would approve of.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
