'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Spoilers: Stars Promise That 'S—t Gets Real' [VIDEO]
Season six arguably brought some of the best storylines and material Game of Thrones had aired yet, but it appears next year's seventh season may be able to up the ante and make the most recent episodes look far more inferior.
Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya Stark, tweeted about the new season after receiving her scripts for the new season and reading it, promising fans that they would need to prepare themselves ahead of time for how epically things were going to go, and then quickly told them they would have no way to prepare themselves because the show was going to be that good.
"Just finished reading reason 7...s**t gets REAL...i'd start preparing yourselves now...scratch that nothing will prepare you for this...holy BALLS," she wrote in a series of tweets.
She wouldn't provide any further details (and likely won't since she's not allowed to), but so far, some casting announcements for the new season have been revealed, which may provide some clues as to what will be going down.
Among the new characters are a "35-to-45-year-old warrior played by a white actor with good fighting skills, who has a 'considerable' amount of dialogue," a 'priest' played by a white actor in his 60s who can do the received pronunciation accent, a young "gate guard" who is "a confident, characterful, straight talking Northern lad with a great face," a 40-something "merchant" who will show up at an inn, and a non white "lieutenant" in his 20s who is athletic and a warrior.
The roles to all seem to be of a minor variety however, but there's no way to confirm because there is no source material fans can look to in order to identify the characters as ones from gerge R.R. Martin's books, as the series is offically ahead of his novels.
Fans can expect, based on season six, to see some major storyline involving Arya's return to Westeros however, in addition to Jon (Kit Harington) and Sansa (Sophie Turner) trying to rule the North once again. Other big stories should include how Cersei (Lena Headey) will act now that she no longer has her children, and Dany's (Emilia Clarke) arrival in Westeros.
