She's grieving the loss of her husband and is trying to handle her emotions so she can get back to living her life, but Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) will begin to lose what little control she has on her situation on The Young and the Restless.

She's once again having to adjust to life as a single mother now that Adam is believed to be dead, and as everyone tries to help her she will start to lash out instead.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) agreed before Adam died that he would look after Chelsea and Connor and be there for them, but he will find himself stone-walled when he shows up at the penthouse and sees Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) there instead, and is told by the woman who actually killed Adam that he needs to let Chelsea grieve in her own way, which involves working and trying to live life as if Adam hadn't existed. And when he protests, Chloe will snap at him to do what she believes are Chelsea's wishes.

"I know that you told Adam that you'd look after the family but I really think you need to respect Chelsea's wishes," Chloe says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, September 13 episode.

Meanwhile, Chelsea has decided to try and focus on her work instead, but when she arrives at the office and learns that Sharon (Sharon Case) pushed back the dates for the new line because she thought it would be better for Chelsea out of respect for Adam's death, she will lose it on her co-worker and threaten her job because she made the decision without consulting her first, and she has no desire to push back her launch.

"Take the rest of the day off and re-evaluate your job description, while I clean up this mess that you've made," Chelsea snaps in the clip.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
