WARNING: Potential Spoilers Ahead. If you don't want to know, do not keep reading.

After so, so many jokes and memes about where oh where he could be, a beloved fan-favorite character who hasn't been seen in three seasons may FINALLY be returning to Game of Thrones for Season seven.

Joe Dempsie, who portrayed Gendry, has been spotted trying to be incognito in Belfast as the show films the new season, and his arrival in the city has many wondering if the actor is in town to film scenes again, or if it's just a coincidence.

The spotting was first posted on The Watchers on the Wall, and the website noted that Dempsie doesn't appear to have any other film commitments that would otherwise require him to be in the city.

If he is there to film for the show, it would mark the first time Gendry was back on screen in the show since season three. His tenure on the show was marked by his being chased from King's Landing because he was a bastard son of Robert Baratheon, and had a legitimate claim to the Iron Throne. He was linked up with Arya (Maisie Williams) and Hot Pie as they were then taken to Harrenhall in the service of Tywin Lannister, then taken under the wing of the Brotherhood Without Banners. Gendry was then sold to Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) to become a blood sacrifice to help Stannis win the War of Five Kings and become the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. He was last seen literally rowing away from Dragonstone aftor Davos (Liam Cunningham) set him free.

Since then, Gendry has been MIA, as Stannis took his fight for the throne to The Wall and then Winterfell, where he was defeated and killed by Brienne (Gwendoline Christie). In addition, Joffrey was killed at his own wedding, and Cersei (Lena Headey) blew up all of her enemies in King's Landing to ascend the throne, and is now the Queen of Westeros.

However, if he comes back, he could prove to be another force that could try to now take Cersei down.
