'General Hospital' Cast News: 4 Best Morgan Corinthos Moments After Character's Presumed Death [VIDEO]
Following news that Bryan Craig asked to be let out of his contract from General Hospital early, it appears that the character of Morgan Corinthos has met a firey death due to escalated mob wars in Port Charles.
After getting drunk because he was off his meds (without knowing it) and stealing Julian's (William DeVry) car, Morgan had pulled off on the side of the road after Jason (Billy Miller) encouraged him to do so. However as he went to approach Jason and get to safety, the car exploded due to the hit Sonny (Maurice Benard) had put out on Julian, and appeared to kill Morgan.
Now, with what looks like a huge death for the show and the Corinthos family possibly unfolding, we are looking back and remembering some of the best moments the character has had during Craig's turn in the role:
Morgan and Michael Become Enemies Because Of Kiki
A few years ago, Morgan and Kiki (then portrayed by Kirsten Storms) were a married couple, but the romance ended after she fell in love with his brother, Michael (Chad Duell). The betrayal led to Morgan switching sides in the mob war, and turning against his father, Sonny (Maurice Benard). The tension between he and his brother escalated into a fist fight on the docks that nearly led to Michael dying.
Morgan Hooks Up With Ava (Maura West)
After the betrayal from Michael and Kiki, Morgan found comfort in his mother-in-law's arms, and bed. Their affair wrought intense drama in Port Charles, and ripped both of their relationships with Kiki apart when they rekindled the affair while Ava posed as Denise. Since they fizzled out a second time, Ava turned on Morgan in an effort to keep him away from Kiki, and was the reason he wasn't on his medication and was losing his mind.
Morgan Has His First Major Meltdown
Morgan continued having bizarre meltdowns throughout the years that seemed to make no sense to his family, until it became clear why he was behaving so bizarrely all of the time-he had inherited his father's Bipolar Disorder.
Morgan Attempts Suicide
At his lowest point, after Kiki was shot while trying to keep him from interfering during Dixon's attempted gun shipment into Port Charles, Morgan decided the best course of action was for him to try and end his life. He was finally talked down from the situation by his father, and began receiving help for his problems.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
