'The Voice' Season 11: Which Team Blake Shelton Members Will Be Eliminated? [POLL, VIDEO]
The Voice's Team Blake Shelton is more diverse than ever, with five huge vocalists from very different backgrounds.
While Shelton's team has typically been chock full of country singers, his season 11 team is a tapestry of artists from a variety of genres. There are a couple country singers still (who happen to have some of the strongest voices in the competition), but the rest of his team features artists specializing in pop, soul, R&B and rock.
Unfortunately, only three of Shelton's five artists will advance to the live shows. Who do you think will advance? Here's a recap of all five singers:
Austin Allsup
Austin's raw passion has helped him sail through the preliminary stages of The Voice, despite only having Shelton turn his chair during his Blind Audition. He fits perfectly in that Voice sweet spot of country mixed with bluesy soul, which traditionally does well among the public voting. He does have direct country competition with Sundance Head, but it's possible that both men could sail through to the live shows.
Dana Harper
Dana hasn't had as much screentime as her fellow Team Blake teammates, but which could hurt her, but she has pulled off strong performances nonetheless. Her low tones and her smooth singing style have stood out compared to some of the show's belters, especially on her Blind Audition of Nick Jonas' "Jealous". Her Battle round was montaged, which could put her at a disadvantage, but she seems primed for a breakout performance.
Courtney Harrell
Courtney has proven herself to be a force to be reckoned with, especially with her rip-roaring performance of Tina Turner's "River Deep - Mountain High". Her flashy vocals and confident performance style should give her a huge advantage in the playoffs, though Harper and Jason Warrior could give her competition.
Sundance Head
Sundance was recognizable to diehard American Idol fans, considering he made it all the way to the Top 16 during season 6. In addition to a possible built-in fanbase, he has excelled as a possible frontrunner to win it all, especially after his bold, sensitive performance of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" for his Knockout round. He will probably have to screw up royally to avoid sailing through to the live shows.
Jason Warrior
Jason has been all over the place this season, starting on Alicia Keys' team, then being stolen by Adam Levine in the Battles then being stolen by Shelton in the Knockouts! Losing both your Battle and Knockout rounds typically isn't a good sign, but Warrior could live up to his last name and rally enough underdog support to sneak through to the live shows with a great performance.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
