'The Voice' Season 11 Contestants: Which Team Adam Levine Artists Will Advance? [POLL, VIDEO]
Which of Team Adam Levine's artists do you think will advance to the live shows this season on The Voice?
Levine has assembled a compelling group of artists for season 11 of The Voice. Genres represented include traditional country, singer-songwriter, throwback jazz, pop and soul. No one artist is exactly like the other, so there should be very little chance of vote splitting in the upcoming playoffs - which cuts the total artists down to three.
Let's take a look at all five of Team Adam's artist and assess whether they have a shot of making it to the live shows.
Riley Elmore
Riley is proof that there's room for more than just Michael Buble in the world of traditional, crooning pop. The 16-year-old has shined singing classics like "Cry Me a River" and "The Way You Look Tonight", etching out a spot for himself in a competition where no one else is truly like him. As long as he pulls through with a strong performance, he should make it through the playoffs unscathed.
Brendan Fletcher
Brendan has shown that you don't need a belting voice and a huge range to still make an impact. His more low-key vocals on Ray LaMontagne's "Jolene" and The Allman Brothers Band's "Soulshine" were still uniquely powerful and while it may require effort for him to make it through to the live shows, all he needs is a powerful song with which he can connect.
Josh Gallagher
Josh is an authentic country artist with a perfect look for the genre and an impressive vocal range, especially on the notorious difficult "My Maria" by Brooks & Dunn. The Voice audience has taken many country artists deep into the competition over the past few years, and he could certainly benefit from not directly competing with any of Shelton's artists in the playoff round.
Billy Gilman
Billy is by far the most recognizable artist on The Voice this season, having a top 40 hit, "One Voice", on the Billboard Hot 100 when he was just 11 years old. Now 28, Billy is looking to move forward with a pop career, and his impressive range shows through in his Blind Audition, with Adele's "When We Were Young". His instant name recognition and strong vocals will almost definitely allow him to sail through to the live shows.
Simone Gundy
Simone is the only female artist on Levine's team this year, excelling with energetic performances of older hits like "Midnight Train to Georgia" and "I (Who Have Nothing)". Her powerful voice could get her to the live shows, but she also has the least screentime of these five artists, with her Battle round being montaged.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
