The Voice is going live for the first time this season, and here's how you can watch Monday night's episode live online.

Monday night is the special live playoffs episode, with all 20 artists singing for your votes. But there is a significant change to how the playoffs will unfold. For the first time, the public will vote live to save their favorite artists and the Top 20 will be dwindled down to the Top 12 at the end of the night.

America can vote through either Twitter or the official Voice app. When host Carson Daly says so, you can cast your votes for which artists you want to see advance to the Top 12. Two artists per team will be saved by America's vote, and one other artist will be saved by their respective coach. The other two artists are eliminated from the competition.

The Voice playoffs episode begins at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and last until 10 p.m. ET/PT.

If you are not able to watch the show on a television, you can live stream the episode at NBC.com/Live and log in with your cable subscription information. Just make sure to check first to see if a live stream is available in your area.

If the live stream is not available to you, you can still watch The Voice online. Go to SlingTV and opt for the Sling Blue option to get a free seven-day trial of the rapidly-growing live stream service.

Of course, West Coast viewers won't be able to watch the playoffs live on television, so if you still want to vote, follow along on The Voice's Twitter page. You'll still be able to cast your votes.

This is said to be a "one-night-only event," so those on the West Coast shouldn't have to worry about voting during subsequent live show episodes.
