'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Second Trailer Release, Feature New Theme Song and Starting Plot [VIDEO]
Now that the "Naruto" and "Naruto Shippudden" anime and manga series have both ended, the creators of the franchise are now planning to continue the series for the next generation of anime fans. The story of Naruto now continues with his son, Uzumaki Boruto, who will be the central character for the brand new anime television series titled "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations."
As per a report from Anime News Network, the manga version of "Boruto" is already in its 10th chapter, but the anime version will apparently be having an all original story that will not be following the manga itself. To further create hype for the upcoming new anime television series, a second trailer has now been released for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations."
The brand new trailer reveals quite a lot of information regarding the starting plot of the new series, as per Anime Now. Firstly, the village of Konoha seems to have finally achieved peace and things are becoming quite modern. Naruto is of course now the present Hokage of the village, but his status has somewhat affected how his son is viewed by other people in the village.
The story itself will focus on Boruto's daily struggles in living under his father's shadow. He apparently has trouble making friends at the Ninja Academy, which eventually leads him to meet some interesting characters. Original characters from "Naruto" and "Naruto Shippuden" will still be present, although they will be shown as much older characters.
Aside from the known new characters from the manga, namely Sarada and Mitsuki, a new character has also been teased in the latest trailer. The character is shown to be a boy in blue clothes with dark hair. The trailer also premieres the brand new opening theme song for the series titled "Baton Road," which is performed by the popular Japanese band KANA-BOOM.
"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" is scheduled to be released right after "Naruto Shippudden" airs its final episode. The first season will premiere its pilot episode on April 5 on TV Tokyo.
