Their wedded bliss has been overcast with the shadow that Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) brings looming over it, but Abigail (Kate Mansi) will begin to wonder if she is the one who is really to blame for the trouble that has affected her marriage to Chad (Billy Flynn) on Days of Our Lives.

While he is sticking by her and doing everything he can to keep both her and baby Thomas safe, the happily-ever-after ending the couple imagined for their married life together with their son has been full of nothing but anguish since they learned that Ben had escaped from the mental hospital he was in. Abigail in particular has been having an incredibly difficult time dealing with the stress of the situation since she fears that Ben will not only try to kill them both again, but that he will kidnap Thomas, who he still believes is his biological son.

Because of her fears, Abigail has been seeing Ben at inopportune times. She first saw him staring through a window as she and Chad prepared to begin their wedding ceremony, but no one found evidence he had been there. Chad and JJ (Casey Moss) then lied to her about Ben's reported whereabouts to help her get through the ceremony. However, she then saw him again during the reception, while she and Chad were on their honeymoon in Chicago. Since returning to the mansion, she also found a nightgown of hers torn up and has become convinced it was Ben trying to taunt her.

However, with the news that Ben wasn't actually anywhere near their wedding ceremony, and the fact that she is the only one who has sworn she's been seeing him in mind, Abigail will begin to wonder if she is simply just conjuring him up, and she's worried that she's losing her mind overall.

Now, not only will the couple be forced to deal with trying to ensure their safety from the man who wants them dead, but they may also have to contend with a scary mental health issue as well.
