She has been taking pills for an illness for years, but now, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) will begin to suffer from an unexpected whole new round of health issues on Days of Our Lives.

She's undergone a tremendous amount of stress the last few months, starting with when her son, Daniel, died in a car accident on New Year's Eve. Since then, she's not only been forced to mourn and try to cope, she's been handed another unexpected situation in the form of her long-lost daughter, Summer (Marie Wilson), showing up in Salem. And though she is happy to learn about the daughter she had long thought was a stillborn, it has been stressful as she's learned to accept her other child into her life.

As a result, she has resumed taking her medication—but now, she's suffering from some strange side effects. She has been dizzy and woozy, and unable to keep her balance—something that Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Dario (Jordi Villasousa) noticed when they ran into her in the square and decided to help her home.

Now, as things continue to get more complicated for her, the way she's acting will begin to raise questions about whether or not something else is affecting her health—and no one knows the real reason things seem very off with her.

Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), Victor's (John Aniston) long-lost brother from Greece also showed up in Salem recently, and has had a vendetta against the brother who had him locked up for a murder he didn't commit in mind since his arrival. And after initially blackmailing Phillip (John Paul Lavoisier) into working against Victor, Deimos set his sights elsewhere, and decided that the only other way to get to Victor was through Maggie.

What no one realizes is that when he paid Maggie a solo visit at the mansion, he switched her pills with others—ones that may be poisoning her and could affect her life immeasurably. And now, she's suffering from the side effects of his messing with her, and she could become a casualty in her husband's continued feud.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
