'Bold and the Beautiful' (B&B) Cast News: Show Seeking New Faces, Someone Else Exiting? [PHOTO]
The Bold and the Beautiful appears to be looking into getting some new blood into its cast in the upcoming months.
The soap, which made its last big casting additions in 2015 with the introduction of new characters like the rest of the Avant family-Nicole (Reign Edwards), Julius (Obba Babatunde), Vivienne (Anna Maria Horsford) and Sasha (Felisha Cooper), and new actors taking over in recast roles of Zende (Rome Flynn) and Thomas (Pierson Fode), has put out a new casting call for two new characters, one of whom will be on for a two-episode arc, and another that is a leading role.
The two-episode role is for a male, to portray a lawyer named Ed LeRosa, though there is nothing else that has been revealed about the character. However, depending on how soon the show plans to bring him onto the canvas, he could get somehow brought into the storyline involving Liam (Scott Clifton), Wyatt (Darin Brooks), Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Quinn (Rena Sofer). If Liam regains his memories, he could need a lawyer later to press charges against Quinn for kidnapping him, or she could need an attorney to beat the charges, Likewise, a lawyer could also be necessary if Steffy chooses to divorce Wyatt once Liam is back in the picture.
The other role is described as one for a Caucasian actress who is 22-27, and the character is described as "worldly, sophisticated, confident and artistic."
Based on the description, it is unclear if the role could finally be a recast of Hope Logan, who was portrayed by Kim Matula until December 2014, when she left the show seeking other opportunities. She returned for two one-episode arcs in both March 2015 and March 2016, but has declined to bring Hope back entirely.
The role could also be a new one for another woman that is going to enter the scene as well. With both Hope and Aly's exits, as well as Ivy's (Ashleigh Brewer) long-term absence to go back to Australia recently, there have been fewer women in that age demographic on the screen, meaning that a newer character could be on the way as well.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
