It's the biggest event of the year on General Hospital, and the annual tradition of the Nurses' Ball will continue this year with three special episodes beginning on May 24.

The event tends to be one which sees some major reveals and secrets exposed on the show, in addition to being one of the most glamorous events of the year, and according to a press release from the show, this year will also see plenty of action.

"We are pleased to bring back the Nurses Ball this year and delighted that Aveeno will continue as our corporate sponsor," Vicki Dummer, head of Current Series Programming, said. "The Nurses Ball brings awareness to AIDS research while giving our immensely talented cast a chance to showcase their vocal talents."

"This will be GH's 12th Nurses Ball and each year our wonderful viewers have come to expect plenty of music, dance, glamour and of course an abundance of drama. There's a lot of exciting performances and appearances in the works. You don't want to miss it!" Executive producer Frank Valentini added.

The episodes will also see other ABC personalities from the morning news and entertainment news shows as well, with cameo appearances on the red carpet.

While it is unclear exactly what drama and reveals could go down at this year's ball, the 2015 one saw some incredibly huge stories exposed. Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and Ric's (Rock Hearst) con where they passed her off as Jason's (Billy Miller) wife was revealed, as was the fact that Jason was alive, when Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) shared the news with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst).

In addition, last year's ball also saw Brad (Parry Shen) take a big step in his relationship with Lucas (Ryan Carnes) by proposing to him, and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Nathan (Ryan Paevy) finally reunited as a couple after a brief break-up due to Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) coming back into the picture.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
