'Days of Our Lives' (DOOL) Spoilers: Abigail Opens Up About Her Encounter With Ben [PHOTO]
She shockingly seemed to have no recollection of her attacking Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and trying to kill him by setting him on fire, but now, Abigail (Kate Mansi) will begin to open up about what happened with him to Marlena (Deidre Hall) on Days of Our Lives.
After learning before her wedding to Chad (Billy Flynn) that Ben had escaped the mental hospital he was being held in, she began to hallucinate seeing him everywhere, including at the wedding and on their honeymoon, and the hallucinations didn't stop after they returned to the DiMera mansion. However, Ben did finally surface in the flesh, telling Abigail he wanted to be with her again. Using his confession to her advantage, Abigail lured him into the bedroom, stabbed him in the shoulder, knocked him out, tied him up, and then set fire to him, mimicking the way he tried to kill her and Chad months before.
Chad managed to arrive back home and stop her attack and get Ben to a hospital, but when he tried talking to Abigail about the situation later, she seemed to have no recollection it happened-expressing shock that Ben was even in the house, and being surprised by what happened to him. However, whenever she napped, she had dreams of the encounter, hinting she may have been suppressing it for another reason.
Concerned about her mental health, Chad whas now reached out to Marlena to see if she can help Abigail cope with the stress of the situation once and for all, and now, when Abigail goes for a psych evaluation, she will come clean to Marlena about everything-and the steps to try and heal from her private torture over Ben will begin.
If she begins to realize just what she did wrong, and admits that something is absolutely wrong with her now, she could commit to doing whatever it takes to get better. And even though it could cause her some more sorrow and pain, she may realize it needs to include time away from her husband and her son, because she could need genuine help in order to cope with the traumas she has faced.
Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
