He's seen that she hasn't gotten any better since going to a psychiatric facility to deal with her trauma following everything that happened with Ben, and now, Chad (Billy Flynn) will begin making plans to do whatever he can to sneak Abigail (Kate Mansi) out of Shady Hills for good on Days of Our Lives.

After learning she was the one who set the fire to the facility, and realizing she genuinely believed Ben was there and not in prison, Chad became even more worried than ever before about his wife's fragile mental state, and has started listening to her as she asks to be allowed to go home, especially since her involvement in the fire could get her sent to a different facility with maximum security and less freedom. And though he knows she does need help to cope with the hallucinations and her decreasing ability to cope with reality, Chad is planning to do exactly what she asks.

Though he agreed with her mother, Jen (Melissa Reeves) and Marlena (Deirdre Hall) that Abigail's best course of action was continued care, Chad will begin to make some secret plans for a way to bust Abigail out of Shady Hills, so he can help her himself, either by getting her somewhere else, or just bringing her back home so she can be with their son, in the hopes it could help her come back to her former state.

However, his planning may not be swift enough for an increasingly agitated Abigail, who is growing more impatient by the minute since she can't stop seeing Ben in her room at the hospital. Still convinced he is trying to kill her again, she will begin formulating a plan of her own so she can escape, without her husband. And if she can succeed, there will be no telling where she could wind up going as she tries to deal with her inner demons and crawl her way back from her issues.
