They have been tied up at Abbott Cabin thanks to Ian Ward (Ray Wise) taking them both hostage, and now, with Victor's (Eric Braden) arrival on the scene, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) fate's will be sealed on The Young and the Restless.

Ian demanded that Victor pay him a ransom of $5 million or Nikki would die, and Victor showed up at the cabin to cut the deal. Before he makes the transfer, he will demand Ian let one of the women go, and Ian will agree to let Phyllis leave. However, she will also demand that Nikki be cut loose too, and after initially being hesitant to let her go, Ian will also cut her free. However, as Phyllis tries to hustle her out of the cabin and to safety, Nikki will find herself torn about leaving her soon-to-be ex-husband behind.

"No, wait!" She cries to Phyllis in a preview clip for the Wednesday, July 6 episode, as she runs to look back at Victor.

However, Victor will encourage her to leave with Phyllis and the two women will make it safely outside.

Meanwhile, the police are now aware of where Ian was holding Nikki the whole time thanks to Victor's own escape from the hospital thanks to Meredith (Alicia Coppola). With new information in hand, they will begin to head to the cabin to rescue Nikki and take Ian and Victor both back into custody, but will be shocked when Summer (Hunter King) informs them her mother is also likely a hostage since she had been at the cabin before it became Ian's hold out.

"Ian is holding Nikki at the Abbott Cabin. We're on our way right now," Dylan (Steve Burton) says to the assembled family members in the clip.

"Wait what? No, that' where my mom is," Summer replies.

Now, they will be aware it is not only a rescue mission for one and recovery mission for two escaped prisoners, but also a rescue for a second person as well.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
