'Young and the Restless' (Y&R) Spoilers: Victor Vows To Save Adam [VIDEO]
He was the one who framed him and got him put in jail for a crime he didn't commit in the first place, but now that Adam (Justin Hartley) has pleaded guilty to a crime he did commit and is facing a genuine sentence of years locked up, Victor (Eric Braden) will make a vow to do whatever he can to fix the situation his son is in on The Young and the Restless.
While hallucinating Adam attacked and almost killed a guard who he thought was Victor, and had pled guilty to assault charges from the attack, with a sentencing hearing awaiting him. Now, his wife, Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) and his lawyer Michael (Christian LeBlanc) are unsure of what to do since he went against their advice, which had been to plead not guilty by reason of insanity. However, they do know that they blame Victor for what happened since Adam had believed that was who he was attacking, and when he hears them discussing his role in the situation, he will warn them that he isn't going to sit idly by and watch his son suffer, and that he thoroughly intends to take action to help Adam.
"I am going to do everything in my power to help my son," he says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, August 23 episode. "Don't you doubt that for a minute."
However, they aren't the only ones who are blaming Victor for the current predicament, as Nick I(oshua Morrow), now that the evidence that proved Adam never killed Constance surfaced, also believes Victor set up the whole situation in the first place, and he will warn his mother, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that she needs to get herself away from him because he was the one behind this and could be capable of even more horrifying things.
"He needed to show Adam who's boss. This is all on him," he says.
However, the efforts anyone makes to try and help Adam may be futile, as the guard, who is hospitalized has only seen his condition grow worse, and it's continuing to deteriorate.
"The Guard, Matthews? He slipped into a coma last night," Stitch (Sean Carrigan) tells Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Dylan (Steve Burton) in the clip.
The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
