They know that her family isn't supportive of their plans to marry, but Summer (Hunter King) and Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) will begin to think things might be clearing up for them just before everything starts to crash down instead on The Young and the Restless.

The two are celebrating their engagement party, and Summer's family members are all going to be there, either hiding their contempt for Luca and pretending to support the marriage, or outright reminding her how they feel by refusing to show any kindness to Luca. However, one person she didn't expect will also arrive-and when her half-brother Daniel (Michael Graziadei) arrives, she will be delighted because he will be the one who supports her,

"Oh my God, Daniel, you came," she says excitedly in a preview clip for the Thursday, August 25 episode.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," he replies.

He will be exactly the person Summer needs on her side, despite his not really knowing Luca well enough to actually pass judgment on him. As everyone else arrives and shows how they really feel, he will make sure they all understand that their actions are hurting Summer, and it won't be tolerated for her big day,

One such person who will be told such a thing will be her other brother, Noah (Robert Adamson), who had always despised Luca because of the history with Marisa. And before the party, when he sees Sharon (Sharon case) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) looking for dresses that Phyllis will wear to the wedding, he will snap at them both to cut it out because he refuses to see Summer marry Luca.

"Put the dress down okay? Summer's not marrying that jerk," he says in the clip.

However, once the party gets underway, the biggest shock of all could arrive at the party and be exactly the person needed to blow things up completely. Luca will be making an announcement about how everyone can trust him because he has pure intentions when it comes to Summer. But when Travis (Michael Roark) walks in, all of Luca's schemes could be exposed, and he could wind up losing Summer instead.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
